Downtown visitor center and store

The Visitor Center and Store are open Friday, Saturday and Sunday, 11 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Microscope Fridays!
Every Friday, 12:00-3:00 p.m., come join in the fun and explore with microscopes! Zoom in on seaweed,  sand, feathers and shells, or bring something of your own (nothing wet, please).

The Aquarium on the pier, and Museum and Gift Shop on the shore are open Saturday and Sunday, 12 - 5 p.m.

Fintastic Field Day
Thursday, August 11, 6:30-8:00 p.m., on the Fort Worden parade grounds
Check in starts at 6 p.m., by the tennis courts.
Have you ever played Wave in the Tidepool or challenged yourself on an Intertidal Obstacle Course? Join us on the Fort Worden parade grounds for an outdoor, run-around games night that centers on marine and ocean-themed fun. There will also be a nearby non-game area with a few activities for younger siblings and spectators.
A summer evening program for families with children ages 7 and up. Free.
Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Sea Star Gazing
Thursday, August 18, 1:00 p.m. & 2:00 p.m., on the Fort Worden pier
Come learn all about sea stars! Where do they live? Why are they different shapes, colors and sizes? Look at a sea star up close.
For everyone. Best for children 5 and up. Free.
Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Nature Journaling with iNaturalist
Wednesday, July 20, 1:00 p.m. & 2:00 p.m., at Chetzemoka Park
Join us for nature journaling and an intro on how to use the iNaturalist app! We will have supplies and tools to nature journal in the surrounding park. Stop by if you are also interested in knowing more about the iNaturalist app and how to use it! 
Ages 8 and up. Free.
Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Low tide walks

Join us for a guided walk on the beach at low tide and learn how animals survive and thrive in the intertidal zone.

* NOTE: If a low tide walk is full, please email gsanchez@ptmsc.org to be placed on the waiting list. Spots do open up!

$7 for adults and $5 for youth ages 6-17.
Includes admission to the Aquarium and Museum at Fort Worden during open hours.
Members are always free!

This event is family-friendly; children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
