Summer Camps

Update May 28, 2020

We are working to keep abreast of local, national and global circumstances, and as an organization grounded in science will be following Jefferson County Public Health Department guidelines and the Safe Start Washington plan. We're developing our plan, Creating the New Normal for PTMSC, in line with those guidelines. In this planning, top of mind is always the safety of your family and our staff and volunteers. Based on our understanding of the guidelines for activities while re-opening in Jefferson County, and out of an abundance of caution and concern for the health and safety of campers, we’ve determined that the sessions with our youngest campers (Seal Pups and Junior Explorers) aren't feasible to run with the resources we have available. We are handling each camp on a case-by-case basis; updates about the status of each camp session will be sent to registrants in the coming days.

2020 Summer Camp Schedule

At the Port Townsend Marine Science Center (PTMSC), our summer camps allow burgeoning young scientists and adventurers to spend a week exploring beaches, uncovering treasures hidden in our exhibits, playing games, making crafts, and hiking through beautiful Fort Worden State Park.

Our science campers come back year after year and many of our past campers return again as camp counselors. Join us for a wet, sandy, adventurous, fun-filled week!

PTMSC members receive $10 off each registration (use promo code MEMBER). If you are not yet a member, we invite you to join today to enjoy this and many other members-only benefits!
