The Port Townsend Marine Science Center makes hands-on exploration of the Salish Sea accessible to everyone.

Exhibits: Our interactive Museum on the Shore and hands-on Aquarium on the Pier feature countless animals, plants, and objects to discover including touch tanks, microscopes, a hydrophone to listen to whales off shore, and one of only six fully articulated Orca skeletons in the United States.

Wildlife Cruises: Seasonal Wildlife Cruises to Protection Island allow participants to observe seals, sea lions, and seabirds in their natural habitat with expert commentary from an on board naturalist and PTMSC volunteer hosts.

Beach Walks: Low-tide beach walks help introduce people of all ages to the vibrant coastal ecosystem we call home.
