Spring Break at PTMSC!

Celebrate Spring Break with us!

The Museum will be open extra days during the week, from April 3 – 7, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
All activities included with regular admission.

Special daily activities include nature printing, bone bonanza, sea and shore investigation and spring break science. Learn more about each day’s special activities, and join in!

Earth Day Beach Cleanup

Join us for our upcoming Earth Day Beach Cleanup

This Earth Day, let’s work together to keep our oceans healthy.
In partnership with WA CoastSavers and the JeffCo Trash Task Force, join PTMSC as we work together to clean up local beaches and roadways.

This year, we will be hosting cleanups at multiple locations! Join us at either of our check-in locations: Fort Worden State Park or Chimacum Corner Farmstand.

Estate Planning Seminar

Steve Dowdell, Attorney will be speaking about your estate planning journey, hosted by the Port Townsend Marine Science Center.

Steve is excited to share his expertise to help bring awareness to the importance of estate planning. In this seminar you will get an overview of the estate planning process and learn about common pitfalls to watch out for when applied to your own unique situation.

Volunteer interest meeting

Come learn about the Port Townsend Marine Science Center and the volunteer opportunities we offer! A science background is not required, just an interest in and passion for the Salish Sea and conservation.

We’ll start at the Museum classroom (across from the pier), and include a tour of the Aquarium.

Join us for a guided walk on the beach at low tide with PTMSC naturalists, and witness the unique adaptations for life to survive and thrive in the intertidal zone.

Fort Worden BioBlitz – 2024

Forest to Sea – join Fort Worden State Park and partners for the 2024 BioBlitz!

Fort Worden’s iNaturalist BioBlitz is an interactive celebration between citizen science and stewardship, to document (via photos) as many living organisms found in the park as possible.
