Spring time birding at Fort Worden State Park

This birdwatching event is full
, but you can still sign up for the waitlist by e-mailing Gina Vickrey at gvickrey@ptmsc.org.

Do you enjoy birding? Are you a beginning birder who wants to learn more or an experienced birder who wants to continue to build on your birding foundation?

Then join the PTMSC for this bird watching experience as we journey along the pier, beach, and sea looking for our spectacular feathered friends!

We will meet at the PTMSC Aquarium, and begin with an introduction and bird identification presentation by Wendy Feltham – an avid birder, photographer, PTMSC volunteer and citizen scientist. After this, we’ll start out bird watching along the pier and then walk along the beach toward Pt. Wilson.

Please dress appropriately for the weather as this will take place rain or shine (we will postpone the event due to high winds or extreme inclement weather). We recommend wearing boots/shoes with good traction for walking on the pier and the beach.

This event is geared toward adult beginning birders (no prior birding experience is necessary), but all adult birders are welcome.

If you have binoculars, a birding scope, and/or a birding guide, please bring those along. We will have some binoculars and birding guides to share as well.

Please note that registration is required for this event.

We will close registration once we reach our limit of 20 people. This limit is to make sure that the individuals leading the walk will have the opportunity to guide and facilitate your bird watching experience.

If you have questions or would like to be put on the waitlist once we reach our registration limit, please email Gina at gvickrey@ptmsc.org.
