Molt search training at PTMSC

Molt Search is a citizen science project designed to increase public participation in early detection of the highly invasive European green crab.

Using the My Coast app and the Molt Search protocol, volunteers collect crab molts, look for European green crab, and report their findings to Sea Grant online using their smartphones or computers.

PTMSC is hosting two Molt Search trainings in June prior to the state-wide Molt Blitz on June 20. Both trainings are free and open to all.

At the Marine Science Center, June 12, 4 -6 p.m.
Registration is limited to 25 participants.

If you’re not able to attend the June 12 training in Port Townsend,  you can attend a training in Port Angeles at the Feiro Marine Life Center.
June 22, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Registration for the Feiro training is limited to 20 participants.
