Shifting gears a little with this selection, a book of essays. As a queer, mixed heritage, science and conservation journalist in a historically male dominated field, for this author, exploring the ocean allowed for them to make connections to their own self. Reflecting on the hardships and journeys of these ten sea creatures allowed for them to reflect on similar hardships and journeys of their own family.
