This fund provides an annual $2,500 scholarship for a graduating East Jefferson county senior who embodies the values that Anne Murphy lives: curiosity, wonder, and love of the marine environment.

Anne Murphy served as Executive Director of the Port Townsend Marine Science Center for 24 years, pouring her heart into growing an organization that would nurture exploration and discovery of our local shores and waters. She retired in 2014, leaving behind a vibrant community treasure that has profoundly affected thousands of people.

The fund was established to honor Anne’s legacy and encourage ocean stewardship in the next generation. By supporting this fund you enable high school seniors to follow their dreams of making a more healthy ocean for the future.
