Student Projects
Over the years students working with us have sampled water quality, monitored local marine habitats and carried out some of their own research. Highlighted below are many of our recent and ongoing student projects.
Working with scientists from Battelle, local high school students are studying
the health and recovery of an eelgrass bed on the Port Townsend waterfront.
Supported by a grant from the Shell Puget Sound refinery, six teachers from four northern Puget Sound school districts were invited to bring their students to take part in four research cruises in the San Juan Islands where the students helped deploy an ROV equipped with an underwater video camera.
