The Natural History Exhibit

Highlighting the zone where the land meets the sea, this exhibit is a visual banquet of colors, textures and images. Here you can:
  • Learn to identify a variety of common beach rocks.
  • Examine sands from around the world.
  • See diving birds fly through schools of fish.
  • Assemble the "Washington Geo-Puzzle" - a one of a kind interactive exhibit demonstrating the land forming processes that made this area.
  • Compare fossils of ancient marine mammals and invertebrates to their present day relatives.
  • Stand next to a 12-foot model of a bluff.
  • Enjoy daily interpretive programs that embellish exhibit themes.
  • Participate in classes and lectures series.
