Calling all Junior Explorers! Come join a new half day camp for 5-7 year olds. Choose between morning and afternoon sessions. Campers spend the week exploring the amazing marine creatures in our exhibits and on our beaches:

Discover marine life in the touch tanks and tidepools
Make sand creatures come alive on the beach
Explore cool places in the park
Play fun games and meet new friends
Sing songs about marine creatures
Get creative with crafty projects
Listen to wonderful stories
Have tons of fun!

This camp will focus on fun, hands-on, interactive activities in and around the Marine Science Center. This is a great camp for the younger camper who loves marine animals and exploring on the coast!

Ready, set, explore!  Spend the week examining the varied natural environments of beach, glacial bluff, forest, pond and meadow, and critters that live there.

Assemble skeletons of marine mammals and learn about these fascinating creatures
Catch bugs and study them with a microscope
Tune in to fossils and discover clues about the past
Explore trails all over this beautiful park
Relax and enjoy quiet times in the natural world
Play exciting games and make friends
Have tons of fun!

Using observation skills, campers discover how these places and the creatures living here support life in the coastal ecosystem. This is the perfect camp for nature loving kids who want to explore it all!

Dive into science!  Spend a week discovering where marine critters live and what they need to survive life on the shore and in the sea. 

Collect a plankton sample and use a microscope to discover amazing plants and animals
Investigate marine animals in our exhibit tanks
Pull a seine-net through an eelgrass bed and find out who lives there
Dig up sediments for clams, worms and brittle stars
Learn about the science happening at PTMSC
Splash and swim on our sandy shore
Relax and enjoy quiet times in the natural world
Have tons of fun!

Campers will learn about many local marine species and how they interact in the marine ecosystem This is an excellent camp for budding marine biologists and kids who love exploring the outdoors.
